9 Day/8 Night – One-Way Great Gay Drive

Day 1 – Whitehorse

Starting out in Whitehorse, take a stroll along the Yukon River’s edge or visit the SS Klondike National Historic Site. Choose from a variety of activities and sites, such as Miles Canyon, Yukon Wildlife Preserve, Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre, Bennett Beach or the Copperbelt Railway and Mining Museum.

Day 2 – 3 - Kluane

Visit Kluane, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and part of the world’s largest internationally protected area. This area covers roughly 21,980 square kilometres of high mountains and breathtaking icefields, with lush valleys full of diverse plant and wildlife. Visit any of the roadside attractions, hike or raft the Alsek River, or participate in any of the traditional harvesting activities.

Day 4 - Tok

Take an easy drive along the famous Alaska Highway with stunning views to West of Kluane and Wrangell St. Elias National Parks.  Cross the Alaska Border.

Day 5 - Fairbanks

Continue your drive along the last leg of Alaska’s Highway with a stop at the University of Alaska Museum.  Creamers Field is also worth a visit to see the sandhill cranes and rare whooping crane feed the field in summer.

Day 6 – Denali

A trip highlight, Denali is home to North America’s tallest peak, Mt. McKinley at 20,320 feet! Denali is home to six million acres of wilderness, high alpline tundra and beautiful snowy mountains. If you're interested in experiencing the solitude and tranquility of pure nature where wild animals roam freely, Denali awaits you.

Day 7 – Denali

Take the Wildlife Tour where there’s a good chance you’ll see caribou, moose, grizzly bears, wolves and dall sheep among some of the most popular wildlife.

Day 8 – Anchorage

Alaska’s largest city offers an amazing array of activities to choose from. Whether you're interested in bear viewing, glacier viewing, hiking, horseback riding, ice climbing, catching a glimpse of the Northern Lights, or taking in the culture and heritage or Anchorage while visiting some quaint coffee shops and bakeries along the way, this city is certain to have something special for you.

Day 9 – Anchorage

Spend some more time in Alaska’s largest city and enjoy last minute shopping and sightseeing.

Day 2 – Skagway

Take the White Pass and Yukon Route bus/rail tour to Skagway.  Stroll Skagway’s boardwalks and visit a Gold Rush era saloon or adventures out to the Grizzly Falls Ziplining Expedition, Davidson Glacier, Klondike Gold Rush National Historic Park or Corrington's Museum of Alaskan History.

Day 3 and 4 – Juneau

Take the City Tour and transfer on arrival in Juneau, then follow the guided wildlife and historic cruise along the inside Passage to Juneau where whales and sea lions are often spotted.  You’ll get a free day for optional tours and a day tour to Glacier Bay National Park to see 16 tidewater glaciers and a variety of marine life.

Day 5 – Haines

Return boat transfer to Skagway.  Pick-up rental car, drive over the beautifully scenic White Pass through the Southern Lakes region to Whitehorse.

Day 6 and 7 – Kluane National Park

Kluane is home to Canada’s tallest mountain and the world’s largest (non-polar) ice cap.  Optional tours include flightseeing (recommended), a guided hike, or a guided cultural/historical cruise on Kathleen Lake.

Day 13 – Seward

Embark on a marine life cruise in Kanai Fjords National Park where you can catch glimpses of whales, sea lions and dolphins.
